The referees’ strike in Roscommon looks to have come to an end after six U20FC semi-finals were fixed for this weekend.
Referees withdrew their services last weekend in protest after Clann na nGael match official Kevin Naughton was hospitalised following an unsavoury incident in a minor football game between St Aidan’s and St Dominic’s in Ballyforan last Wednesday week. Both Roscommon GAA and the Gardaí are investigating the incident.
Ironically, Ballyforan will be the venue for tonight's U20FC semi-final between Roscommon Gaels and St Brigid's which throws in at 8pm.
TweetWe have reached the semi-final stage of this year’s @dermothughescar U20 Football Championship with matches on Friday & Saturday.
