Minors
Needing to win against Carlow to keep their Championship hopes alive, the Offaly Minors claimed their first win of the year with some ease in Fenagh on Sunday.
They will now move on to the All Ireland quarter final where they will play Waterford. Details of the fixture will be posted on the Offaly Camogie social media channels.
Under 16s
The Offaly Under 16s played their rescheduled match against Derry in Banagher on Saturday. With a win and a defeat in their two games to date, Offaly will have been keen to make use of their home advantage and add another win to their tally.
The game was a close affair in the opening stages with Derry leading by a point with 20 minutes gone but a goal by Holly Sexton put Offaly ahead by a point. Two Derry goals in the space of four minutes however gave them a four point advantage but credit to the Faithful girls who finished the half by hitting over two points before half time to leave the score reading 1-7 to 3-3 in Derry's favour at the break.
The second half was a completely different story however as Offaly steam rolled Derry. Within seven minutes of the restart they scored 2-1 and then kicked on to add an additional 1-3 before Derry hit their only score of the half, a point after 24 minutes. Offaly finished the game by adding another goal and a point to their tally to leave them victors on a scoreline of Offaly 5-12, Derry 3-4.
Offaly will now travel north next weekend to play Antrim.
