The Kilcormac Killoughey team that played in the Under 12 End of Year Blitz
Under 8 Blitz:
Super well done to our U8s who played very well in their blitz in St.Rynagh’s GAA Pitch last week.
Junior Cup:
Our Junior team had their first Championship fixture against Shinrone Camogie Club.
Shinrone were quick off the mark scoring a point almost instantly before Orla Kilmartin responded by lobbing one over herself with full forward Emma Bracken then finding the back of the net after just eight minutes. Emma Mulrooney sprang into action and scored two points and a goal in just three minutes. The sides swapped scores for the rest of the half with Aideen Quinn adding her two scores to the scoreboard. However, Shinrone finished the half stronger with a hattrick of goals putting them in the lead at the break with a scoreline of 2-06 to 4-07.
K/K started the second half the stronger side with a well-worked team goal from Lauren Leonard and Anna Doherty and another Emma Bracken goal. Isabella Gleeson was a major addition from the bench to the middle of the field. Shinrone popped over two points before Emma Bracken found the net again to secure her hattrick of goals. From then on Shinrone dominated the play and pulled away despite all the effort from the K/K backlines. The game ended 5-06 to 5-17 much to K/K’s disappointment.

Under 12 All-County Blitz:
Our U12s had their All-County Bllitz in Kilcormac GAA Pitch. The girls had tough games against Kinnitty, Birr, Edenderry and St. Cillian’s. Well done to all the girls on their super effort!
Senior Championship:
Super well done to our Senior team who had a strong win against St. Sinchill’s camogie club in the first round of the Championship with a scoreline of 2-16 to 0-07.
Minor Championship:
Hard luck to our minor who lost out to St. Cillian’s in the first round of their Championship.
Under 13 League:
Our U13s were unfortunately beaten by a strong St. Rynagh’s side last Wednesday in their League. Well done to all the girls on a great effort!
