Cork legend Tomás Mulcahy says he "cannot believe" that referee Shane Hynes' decision not to award Offaly a free out in the closing stages of yesterday's All-Ireland MHC final wasn't highlighted on The Sunday Game last night.

The Faithful had victory snatched from their grasp in heartbreaking circumstances when Paddy McCormack scored a last-gasp winning goal for Tipperary after Paddy Phelan was awarded a close-in free. The decision came moments after many observers felt that Offaly midfielder Niall Furlong should have been awarded a free out.

The former Sunday Game analyst said: "Not taking from Tipp victory today but I cannot believe no mention on Sunday Game or highlighting the play before the free for last goal was scored - it was a free out to Offaly."

Meanwhile, Offaly GAA has arranged a homecoming event for their young hurlers this evening. They will be in O'Connor Park, Tullamore from 6pm to 7.30pm and St Brendan's Park, Birr from 8pm to 9.30pm.
