Another very successful Young Stars summer camp took place in Emmet park last week with almost 120 children taking part. There was a very multi national feel this year with paricipants from the USA and Spain in addition to children from neighbouring parishes. The children as usual participated in plenty of football, handball and hurling skills, games and football mini leagues. The camp finished off on Friday with a party with magician and all the kids received their Carrick Emmets football and certificate.
We would like to thank Declan Finnegan camp co-ordinator, all our coaches, Pat Cassidy Platinum Tanks camp sponsor, St. Josephs Boys National school for the use of their equipment, Pabo Connolly who has kept the facilities at the Emmets in top notch for the camp and everybody else who helped out to make the camp a huge success again this year.
