As the above picture suggests, Monaghan footballer Colin Walshe isn't afraid to get down and dirty for the cause.
Walshe swapped his jersey and boots for a snorkel and wetsuit last Saturday to partake in the Irish Bog Snorkelling Championships in his native Doohamlet.
The All Star defender was joined by a couple of his club mates in the bog at Alice's Loft and Cottages, while there was also a few county colleagues present with all donations on the day going to Doohamlet GFC.
Contestants from France, Germany, UK and all over Ireland took part in the event with All-Ireland champion Paddy Lambe from Castleblayney winning the men's competition and setting a new record of one minute and 19 seconds for two lengths.
Moira Lambe (Paddy's sister) won the ladies competition with a time of 47 seconds for one length.
