Kyle Ennis was the scorer in chief as Trim outclassed Donaghmore-Ashbourne in the MHC final at a wet and windy Pairc Tailteann on Sunday.

Declan Murray and Alan Ennis' lads made all the running and finished with a quadruple scores winning margin and forge the first-leg of a senior-minor double
Ennis chalked up 2-13, including two late goals - one from a free - as Trim eased to a fourth title in five years while Donaghmore-Ashbourne's quest for a first title at this level goes on.
Ennis opened the scoring in the second minute and Trim took that lead to the end. Michael O'Sullivan accounted for all of Donaghmore-Ashbourne's tally, with one point coming from play.
Trim posted five first half wides to Donaghmore-Ashbourne's one to move 0-8 to 0-4 clear at the break having played against the elements in the first 30 minutes.
After the change of ends Trim motored on, content to pick off their points. By the mid point of the second half they were nine points clear.
Around this time Donaghmore-Ashbourne's sole scorer came close to netting but was denied by Trim 'keeper Eoin O'Reilly.
Josh Ayton pointed from Trim from an acute angle before O'Sullivan closed the Moors account.
Trim decorated this latest success adding 2-2 without reply. George Douglas set Ennis up for his opening goal. The second came from a 30-metre free in stoppage time.
Playing into the wind didn't unduly upset Trim in the opening half. Full forward Kyle Ennis accounted for all bar one of his side's first half tally. Josh Ayton's 17th minute point with assistance from Darragh Smyth and George Douglas left it 0-6 to 0-2.
Donaghmore-Ashbourne came into the game in the second quarter. Centre-half-back Michael O'Sullivan posted all four of their first half points, including the last score before half time when the board read 0-8 to 0-4.
Trim found it hard at times to manage the wind, shooting five wides in the opening 30 minutes. In contrast, Donaghmore-Ashbourne posted just one.
