I think there has to be an increase in expenses for Referees, to encourage them to bring assistants and umpires. Maybe €100. Then he can give his line and umpire assistants €10. Its not much, but its something. 90% of matches that I go to, the referee turns up on his own. Just an idea.

€100 a game, are you joking! No wonder they don't want to bring umpires with them, they'd have to divey up the fee then. Some referees are doing 3 or possibly 4 games a day if they can and it can he a nice little earner for some. Whatever they get paid is enough. Let's not forget, they are the only one on the actual field that is getting paid to be there.

Nearly sure it's €60 a game not €100 !! If a ref is travelling from an outside county to ref a club game it's €100 possibly more.

Its €40/€50 per match currently. I was advocating an increase to €100 where a full compliment of officials are present.
