All going well and clubs returning to training early May I can see leagues starting in late May/ early June, minus county players.
Even in the best case scenario where the county hurlers reach the J McD final they are finished in mid July. Call it unambitious, but I don't see Meath footballers still being in the championship come August so we can probably pencil in club championships for then. Maybe the county board can release 2 plans; 1 for if Meath get knocked out in Leinster, and 1 for if they somehow win Leinster.
Both the league and championship will have to be shrunk, as there's definitely no room for a 13 game football league and it takes 15 weekends to play the pre-2020 hurling and football championship formats, assuming no breaks. Unless they want to be playing all the way to Christmas.
