New Meath ladies senior football captain

Meath Ladies Senior football manager Brendan Dardis has announced that Seneschalstown stalwart Philomena Sheridan will be the team Captain for the coming year. Sheridan has played football with the county for a number of years. In 2009 she captained her club side to their ninth Senior championship win in ten years and also to the League Division 1 title. The Seneschalstown girls were narrowly beaten by Laois side Timahoe in the Leinster club semi final earlier this month. Sheridans honours include: Numerous u/14, 16 and Minor Leinster and All Ireland titles, Senior Leinster r/u, 6 club championships and 6 league titles, 1 all Ireland club r/u, Div 1 League r/u '06, Leinster r/u '06, Senior Club Championship '07 St. Ultans club player Shauna Bennett has been named as Vice Captain for the coming year. Bennett also has an outstanding list of achievements at both club and county level.
