Minor Football Championship round 3 fixtures
The minor football championship continues tonight with round 3
The final round of the MFC takes place this evening with plenty still to be decided.
In Division 1A Summerhill are more or less qualified and they host St Ultan’s Cortown Gaels. Dunboyne will be looking to bounce back from their second round loss to the ‘Hill but opponents Skryne know that a win would put them in with a great chance of a semi-final place with a back fixture against St Ultan’s Cortown Gaels still to be played.
In Division 1B holder St Colmcilles are qualified in top spot ahead of the meeting with Simonstown. Colm O’Rourke’s charges must win to stay in contention. O’Mahony’s host Donaghmore Ashbourne and a win for the Hoops would guarantee them second spot, although Ashbourne can still technically qualify but would need a big winning margin.
