Tones had a comfortable lead at half time but the visitors made a strong comeback in the second half and it took a strong last quarter from the Tones to secure the win. When the game was in the melting pot Stephen Sheppard's contribution was critical with some great ball won around the middle and a goal which came at the right time to shut the door on a victory for the visitors. Ben Reilly Shane Mc Keever and Rian Fox kept the scoreboard ticking with some fine scores while Gary McFadden's two first half points helped build the early lead.

Alan Callaghan won important ball in midfield particularly in the last quarter from the opposition kickouts whick kept Tones on the front door as the game entered the dying minutes. One win and one loss means Tones still have a chance to qualify for the knockout stages with a win over Simonstown.
