
The Meath hurling league finals concluded today in Lomans Park Trim.
Sunday: Kiltale made up for last year’s Division 1 HL final loss to Kildalkey with a goal to spare in today’s decider played in windy conditions at Lomans Park. A goal from county footballer Brian O’Halloran gave last year’s winners a 1-10 to 0-12 interval lead. Midway through the second half Kiltale made a push for home with goals from Jack Regan and Ross Ryan.
Saturday: After spending 13 years in Division 3 Rathmolyon will ply their trade in Division 1 of the Meath hurling league next year with back to back promotions. The Village led the Division 2 decider 0-12 to 1-6 at the break. Joey Christie and Daniel Callaghan scored a hat trick of points each. Early second half goals set Brian Gilsenan’s charges on the road to a comfortable win.
Navan O’Mahony’s made the return to Division 2 hurling for 2027 with four points to spare over Donaghmore Ashbourne at Ratoath. The winners trailed 0-11 to 1-7 at the break. The ‘Moors’ led 0-10 to 0-4 before Tom Condon got the games only goal.
Friday: Goals were central to Gaeil Colmcilles win over St. Pats in the Division 4 decider played at Paddy O’Brien Park. Conor Og Ferguson hit 3-7 in the opening half and the Kells men led 4-9 to 2-8 at the break.
Over in Rathmolyon Na Fianna needed extra time to see of Drumree. It finished 1-13 each at the end of normal time.
Blackhall Gaels took home the Division 6 title in Kiltale. The winners led 0-6 to 0-4 at the break.
