Final

An Tuascairt claimed the Meath Regional Football Championship title with two points to spare over Moyfenragh today at Pairc Tailteann.

Moyfenragh led at the break 1-5 to 0-6. The sides were level 2-8 to 0-14 with six minutes remaining but Tadhg Boyle’s charges found an extra gear and take home the Richard Barry Cup.

Semi final 

Moyfenragh led a fancied Loughcrew 0-6 to 0-2 at half time and despite conceding an early second half goal held on to claim a a three point win.

A Tuascairt have a chance to make up for last years final loss to Bru na Boinne after their one point victory over Boyne Valley. Tadhg Boyle’s charges led 0-7 to 0-5 at the break. Boyne Valley were reduced to 14 men with seven minutes left in the first half after Mark Dowdall picked up a second yellow.

Round 3

The group stages came to a conclusion yesterday with three games at Dunganny Meath GAA Centre of Excellence. 

Loughcrew and An Tuascairt played out an entertaining draw with the North Meath combination advancing to the semi final on score difference as group winners.

Boyne Valley and Moyfenragh also share top spot in Group B. David Nolan’s men advanced as group winners on score difference.

Ardbraccan got their first win of the campaign in the Regional Football Championship round 3 clash with Blackwater at Dunganny.

Round 1 refixture

A brilliant Nicky Potterton goal was the difference between Moyfenragh and Tara in the refixed round 1 encounter at Dunganny. The winners were reduced to 14 men in the second half with the dismissal of Damien Healy.

Round 2

Round 2 of the Regional Football Championship concluded yesterday at Dunganny, Meath GAA Centre of Excellence.

Moyfenragh opened their Regional campaign with a draw against Boyne Valley. Tara got their campaign off to a winning start with eight points to spare over Bru na Boinne. Moyfenragh and Tara meet on Wednesday night in a refixed round 1 encounter.

Loughcrew had to withstand a late Ardbraccan comeback to make it two wins from two outings. Davy Nelson’s men take on An Tuascairt, who had four goals to spare over Blackwater on Friday night, in round 3 to see who tops the group.

2023 winners Boyne Valley recorded a dramatic one point win over holders Bru na Boinne in the opening game under lights at the Meath Centre of Excellence last Friday.

On Sunday last years finalists an Tuascairt had to withstand a late Adrbraccan rally while Loughcrew proved too strong for Blackwater.
