The business end of the season begins tonight and by Sunday we will know the line up for the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Championship semi finals.
There are four teams left in the Junior B championship along with a host of All County semi finals. Then there’s the small matter of relegation. An absorbing five days is in store for followers of the Meath GAA.
It's the battle of the Colmcilles tonight in Seneschalstown. The winner is safe in senior ranks for 2027, the loser moves on to a relegation final.

Ballivor have secured Intermediate Football Championship status for 2025 after a surprisingly comfortable win over Navan O’Mahony’s in the relegation semi final at a packed Cortown. The winners were 0-7 to 0-5 in front at the break and a goal just after the restart put Kevin Dowd’s men in control. The Hoops now turn their attention to a relegation final against Bective or Curraha.

Gaeil Colmcille preserved their Senior Football Championship status with seven points to spare over a very disappointing St. Colmcilles side in the relegation semi final played at Fr. Tully Park Seneschalstown. The Kells side dominated most of the opening half and an Andrew Gormley goal on the 20th minute gave them a 1-3 to 0-0 lead. Con Cleary’s men led 1-7 to 0-2 at the break. The Seasiders produced a mini revival in the opening ten minutes of the second half. Ruairi O’Grady netted on the 10th minute but that proved to be their last score. Gaeil Colmcille added three points to their tally to seal victory. The ‘Cilles’ will take on either Simonstown or Meath Hill in the final.
