Dunderry 1-12 Kilmessan 0-10
Dunderry lined out against Kilmessan in the Junior B Hurling Championship semi final in Trim on Saturday afternoon.
Dunderry started well and tipped over 4 points in the opening 15 minutes with the Dunderry forwards showing well. Points from Crinion and Cogan settled the team in to the game.
Cogan also landed several frees and this was followed by a well taken goal from McLoughlin stretching the Dunderry lead to 0-6, whilst the Dunderry defence was also well on top.
At half time Dunderry were 1-06 to 0-3 up.
The winners maintained their six point lead for the first 10 minutes of the second half at which stage Kilmessan hit a purple patch, were winning all the breaking ball and rattled over several points to get the lead down to 2, 1-09 to 0-10.
Dunderry stayed battling and turned the tide with some hard fought possessions leading to several frees that were converted by Cian Cogan plus points from play from Darcy and Crionion with Dunderry restoring their lead and winning out 1-13 to 0-10.
There were excellent contributions throughout, Dunderry defence was very strong throughout and up front every player made good contributions. Final on 20th Sept in Pairc Tailteann.
