St Vincent's 1-25 Cortown 4-10

Already qualified for the Semi-Finals, Cortown suffered their first Reserve Championship defeat to St Vincent's in Ardcath this evening.

Charlie Smith and Mikey Rennicks raised green flags for the visitors against a tricky breeze in the first half as Vincent's took a two-point lead into half time, 0-14 to 2-6.

St Vincent's icon Tommy Field rolled back the years with some sumptuous scores in the third quarter as the home side pushed for home. However goals from Markuss Watters and a second from Rennicks threatened to make a game of it late on.

The Ardcath men held on for a deserved win in the finish, sealing top spot and a home Semi-Final. Cortown will travel to North Meath rivals Drumconrath in the other Semi-Final.
