Kilmessan 2-19 Na Fianna 0-18

After their third round loss to Dunderry, Kilmessan got back on track with this seven point win over Na Fianna at Pairc Tailteann.

The winners got a great start when Eoin Harkin raised a green flag in the opening minute. With 15 minutes gone Na Fianna had the lead back to 1-2 to 0-3 with points from Rory Fagan (2) and Oisin Bright before the winners were in for goal number two courtesy of half forward Lorcan Byrne. From there to the short whistle Na Fianna enjoyed their fair share of play and with some excellent scores from Peter Slevin, the impressive Shane Walsh and Fagan along with a brilliant side line cut from Michael Heffernan to go in at the break 0-14 to 2-9 in arrears.

By the end of the third quarter Kilmessan were 2-14 to 0-15 in front thanks to points from Mark Horan and a Seanie Doyle brace. Na Fianna refused to surrender and with nine minutes to go the lead was down to a goal. Kilmessan finished with a flourish. Unanswered points from Mark Horan, Doyle, Finn Conroy and Luke Horan sealed their third win of the campaign.
