SHC: Holders blow Gaels away

Ratoath were comfortable winners over Blackhall Gaels in round 2 of the SHC at Trim

After recording a ten point win over Kiltale in round 1 Ratoath has little difficulty in making it two from two with this comfortable win over Blackhall Gaels in round 2 of the Meath SHC at Lomans Park Trim.

A goal from Cian Rogers after 15 minutes set the tone for this game. Podge O’Hanrahan, Bryan McMahon and Daithi McGowan chipped in with points as the Jubilee Cup holders went to the dressing room with a 1-9 to 0-4 interval lead.

Half back Domhnall Rogers was in for goal number two in the early stages of the second half. The McGowan’s, the Hanrahan’s and McMahon added further points before Cian Rogers netted the score of the game after brilliant work from Bryan McMahon. McMahon capped a fine display with Ratoath’s fourth goal in the closing stages.

Next up for the reigning champions are Longwood at the same venue, Blackhall Gaels take on Kildalkey.
