IHC: Two from two for Kilskyre/Moylagh in Kilberry

July 28, 2025

Kilskyre/Moylagh's Fergal Flynn

Kilskyre Moylagh  1-19  Donaghmore Ashbourne 1-12

Kilskyre Moylagh are in a much different position to where they were last year with two wins and topping their group a stark contrast to last year when they were propping up the bottom with two straight defeats.

Well fired up from the throw in Kilskyre Moylagh got to work quickly keeping their opponents pinned into their half with McGrath and O’Higgins getting onto the scoresheet early followed up with an inspirational point from Paul Hennessy who caught a high ball from deep, broke the line and pointed from 70 yards. Setting the tone for the rest of the evening, Kilskyre Moylagh kept a six-to-eight-point cushion for the duration of the first half.

The second half was a messy affair as Donaghmore Ashbourne tried to get a foothold into the game which they did manage largely as Kilskyre Moylagh struggled to kill off the game as a contest with to a lot of wasted opportunities and frees conceded, something they will need to sharpen up on as championship progresses.
