Kilmessan 3rds made a winning start to this years Junior Hurling Championship with five points to spare over Blackhall Gaels in Kilmessan.
Two first half goals from full forward Cian O’Neill gave the home side a good start but Blackhall gaels hit back with 3-2 before the break and the teams went in level.
Holding the visitors to a point in the second half and hitting six points Kilmessan ran out deserving winners.
