Kildalkey and Longwood meet in the opening round of the SHC at Lomans Park Trim

The Meath Senior and Intermediate Hurling Championship gets up and running tonight and concludes next Monday.

Recently crowned Division 1 League winners Kildalkey and Longwood have the honour of opening the race for the Jubilee Cup in Trim. Brendan Davis Cup winners Killyon will be hoping to put a disappointing League campaign behind them when they take on last year's semi finalists Kilmessan on Friday. Promoted O’Mahony’s travel to Athboy for the clash with Na Fianna. A large crown is expected in Dunganny for the meeting of neighbours Trim and Dunderry. The Town side were too strong when they two met in last years round 2 at Kilmessan. The opening round concludes the day after the All Ireland SFC semi final when holders Ratoath take on league finalists Kiltale.
