A five star display from Danny Keane saw Kilskyre take home the Division 4 hurling cup after this thrilling two point win over Kiltale.

Before the the game started there was a minutes silence to remember the late Tom Lynch.

2023 champions Kiltale got a great start. Ruairi McGrath pointed before Kyle McCormack raised the games first green flag. Odhran Phelan followed with another point and the boys in Maroon and Green were 1-2 to 0-0 up inside the opening ten minutes. Fionn Owens managed to put Kilskyre on the scoreboard but the remaining 9 minutes belonged to his joint captain Danny Keane. The midfielder took control of the game and finished the half with 2-1 to give his side a 2-2 to 1-3 interval lead. 

Keane and Owens extended that lead with points early in the second half but back came Kiltale. Sean Maguire pointed before Tadhg Purcell got their second goal to tie up matters. Keane and Thomas McCormack exchanged points before the games crucial score arrived. Keane broke through a resolute Kiltale defence to fire home his teams third goal. Kiltale replied with a brace but Keane had the final say sending over his 4th point and insuring a victory in honour of his good friend Tom Lynch.
