Weather conditions were terrible but the pitch in Athboy was in great condition credit to the grounds staff despite a full days heavy rain on it for this Division 1 HL Round 6 fixture between neighbours Kildalkey and Clann na Gael.

Clann na Gael were missing a number of regulars and found the going tough as Kildalkey led from start to finish and  goals from Paddy Coneely (2) Evan Fitzgerald (2) Niall McNally and Conor Fitzgerald had the village leading at the break by 6-10 to 0-3 .

Further goals from Cian Colhoun and another for Evan Fitzgerald left Kildalkey running out convincing winners by 8-22 to 0-8
