HL Div 4: Kildalkey lose out to Killyon

June 16, 2025

Kildalkey's Enda Fitzgerald

Round 6 of the Div 4 HL saw Kildalkey host neighbours Kilyon and after a tough battle the hosts ran out 4 point winners on a 1-17 to 3-7 score line.

Kildalkey led by 1-7 to 1-3 at the break with Conor Barnwell hitting 1-3 Ciaran Browne Eoghan Monaghan Conor McNally and Lee Coldrick also getting on the scoreboard.

Good defensive work from Enda Fitzgerald Conor McNally and Michael Carr kept Kilyon out on a number of occasions.

Barnwell kept Kildalkey ticking and another from Lee Coldrick pushed them further on front but 2 slack goals from a Kildalkey point of view kept Kilyon in the game and made for an exciting finish but 2 super efforts from James Cully and 1 each from Adam O Brien and Barnwell and a super save from Paul Fagan at the death sealed the win and the 2 points.

The only downer on the night was a nasty hand injury to full back Enda Fitzgerald hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.

Our last game is against Kilmessan next weekend.
