Na Fianna claimed the Meath Minor Hurling Tournament Group B final with six points to spare over Kilmessan played in perfect conditions at Boardsmill. PHOTOS

Two first half goals from half forward Cathal Flynn gave Na Fianna a 2-5 to 0-9 interval lead. The impressive Conor Horan hit seven of this opening half scores for Kilmessan.

The team in Amber and Black took a firm grip on the game in the opening seven minutes of the second half. A brace from outstanding duo Ben Healy and Mason Flynn along with a Flynn goal opened a nine point gap. Horan kept Kilmessan in the game with four fine points and with ten minutes remaining the lead was down to six before the star forward was forced to retire through injury. Healy and Flynn pointed soon after as was Fianna regained control and run out deserving winners.

After the game Thelma Byrne presented the MFT Group B cup to Na Fianna captain Patrick Cleary.
