Kilbride travelled to Athboy on the 10th of May in a high-scoring and fiercely contested encounter. Kilbride emerged victorious over Clann na nGael by a narrow margin of three points, with an impressive hat-trick by Josh Harford.
The match began at a fast pace with Kilbride asserting themselves early. David O’Leary opened the scoring with a point from play, followed quickly by a goal from Josh Harford. James Gavin then chipped in from play to extend Kilbride's lead.
Josh found the net again before the 11-minute mark, bagging his second goal of the match .Finn White also added a point to the scoreboard. At halftime the scoreboard read a draw of 15 with 2-9 Kilbride to 3-6 Clann nc nGael.
The second half saw Kilbride come out with renewed focus. Early points from James Gavin and Adam Malone really restored momentum. Finn White, David O’Leary Daniel Boyd, and Andrew Mc Weeney also contributing to the scoreboard.
It was a battle to the end but Clann na nGael were ultimately outpaced by Kilbride’s relentless attack. As Josh secured his third goal of the game leaving the score to be Kilbride 3-18 (27) - Clann na nGael 3-15 (24)
