Paddy O'Sullivan clears his lines for St. Michaels Nobber against Boardsmill

St. Michaels/Nobber 6-07, Boardsmill 2-04

After a narrow loss last week to the same side the St. Michaels / Nobber combination got back to winning ways in emphatic style with a comprehensive win over Boardsmill in this semi-final played in Nobber last evening.

The opening half was very competitive with only two points separating the sides at the interval, Tadgh Shannon Smith found the net for the home sides opening major, two minors from James Hanratty and a point apiece from Adam Kiernan and Tom Regan put the combination side ahead by 1-4 to 1-2 at the break.

Only three minutes into the new half Conall McEntee had the ball in the back of the net for his sides second major and by the end of the third quarter another four goals had crossed the Boardsmill goal-line, the fourth was an excellent effort by Eoin Curtis when he cheekily chipped the ball over the advancing keeper to the back of the net.
The winners now had a stranglehold around the middle third where they exhibited some fine fielding and they carried the ball forward at pace while Paddy O'Sullivan did a fine hours work at centre half back. Further white flags from Hanratty and Gudziunas sent the home side home happy and to a place in the final to be played in the weeks ahead.
