Oldcastle hit back with two points, but Meath Hill remained in control, with another point from Breslin and a lovely score from Jack McMahon extending their lead. Yorke added a second two-pointer, and Damien Turley rounded off a dominant first half with a close-range goal after a surging run from James Mooney.
At half time, Meath Hill led 2-11 to 0-6
Breslin opened the second half with a free, and while Oldcastle responded with a pair of frees, Meath Hill maintained their dominance. Breslin struck again with a rocket of a point, and Jack McMahon curled over another beauty from the arc. Oldcastle continued to press, adding a few more points, but Meath Hill always had an answer.
Sean Owens and Andy Monaghan added further scores, and the Hill’s defence remained resolute, with key clearances from Cillian Marron and Jack Slavin ensuring the lead was never under threat. Meath Hill’s attacking play and strong team performance saw them run out comfortable winners.
