Tones trailed 0 09 to 0 05 at half time but had recovered from a poor start that saw them trail 0 08 to 0 01, the Tones’ score a ’45 form Caolan Ward after Oisin Martin’s point effort was parried, before a brace of points from Saran O Fionnagain from play and two Kyle Moran frees brought the visitors right back into the game.

The second half saw a much-improved display from Tones. O Fionnagain was on the mark before Summerhill hit two, to lead by five. However, a Caolan Ward goal following an inch perfect pass from O Fionnagan, followed by a two pointer from the impressive Dan O'Neill meant the teams were level heading into the last quarter. Caolan Ward, Thomas O'Reilly and Oisin Martin all added points from play to see the visitors lead by three as the game entered the dying minutes. Tones would rue four narrow wides in this period. A point from the Summerhill men left Tones defending a dangerous two-point lead before Summerhill finished to the net in a crowded goalmouth.

This was a spirited performance by Bhulf Ton as they turned a seven point deficit to a three point advantage before being caught at the end. Next up Ratoath!
