Dunderry 2 -17 Clann na nGael 2-07
Dunderry gave up home advantage to their neighbours because of water logging in the village pitch.
The Athboy facility was in great condition however and the sun shone on both sets of players.
There were five Lambay men starting, two on one side and three on the other.
The last meeting between the sides was a very one sided affair and the black and whites were keen not to have a repeat performance.
Leo Turleys men brought aggression and desire and led at the interval 1-10 to 1-3 through some nice open play and good forward movement which always makes the defenders task easier in setting up the attacks.
The second half brought much of the same with the Dunderry midfield well on top. With Kelly and McKeever causing trouble up front and the defence sticking to their task there was only going to be one winner and the lads from DúnDoire ran out winners 2 -17 to 2-07.
Comhbhrón ó chroí le muintir Chóil Neana Pháidín ar bhás Sheáinín. Gael mór imithe uainn ró luath.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
Seáinín always kept up to speed with players from both parishes and he will be sorely missed for his post match analysis and just for the mere pleasure of his company alone.
