FL Div 4: Big win for Brigids

St Brigids 2-20 Gaeil Colmcille 2-09

Round four of the Division Four League saw us host Gaeil Colmcille on a Sunday morning.

Rory Collins got us of the mark with a point in the first minute followed by Gaeil Colmcilles first score, also a point. Dylan Briody smashed home a goal with the next play followed by points from Ivan Smyth and Luke Blake. Gaeil Colmcille notched a goal of their own followed by a point which we replied with a point from David Gibney. So with twenty minutes gone the score sat at 1-04 to 1-02 in our favour.

Michael Flood then took over the scoreboard for himself for the next ten minutes and hit 1-06, a two pointer from a free, a goal from play, a two pointer from play and a two pointer from a free on the stroke of halftime to leave us looking good with it reading 2-10 to the visitors 1-02 at the break.

The second period was also nip and tuck scorewise as we nabbed ten points to Gaeil Colmcilles 1-07 to leave the final score reading 2-20 to 2-09 in our favour. A two week break for the lads now with our next fixture on Sunday 27th April versus Nobber away in Nobber.
