Kildalkey 3-17 Kiltale 2-13
Kildalkey and Kiltale made their way to Dunganny on Tuesday night for the Brendan Davis Cup game with the prize for the winner a clash with reigning champions Kilmessan.
With the county players available both teams fielded strong teams and went at it from the throw in.
Paddy Conneely was Kildalkey’s main scorer upfront hitting 1-4 in the first half and Nicky Potterton cut in from the right wing to blast to the net with Evan Fitzgerald and a Niall McNally free the other scorers to lead 2-6 to 0-7 at halftime.
Fitzgerald Potterton McNally Coneely and Jamie kavanagh all tagged on points but Kiltale got in for 2 goals to close the gap to 2 but another Nicky potterton goal (a stinging ground shot)after a surging run from Brendan Mckeon opened up a gap again and the men in blue kicked on with points from Luke Rickard (2) Mc Nally (3) and a boomer from Evan Fitzgerald to seal the win and set up a semifinal with kilmessan
