Carnaross outclass Dee Rangers and record a significant victory in Division 6 league.

Carnaross welcomed Dee Rangers on Sunday morning for the third round of the division 6 league. 

Carnaross showed their intent from the first whistle with a well worked goal from the throw up, Katie White the scorer. 

Dee Rangers won their kick out and worked it forward but a loose pass was intercepted by Carnaross wing back Deirdre Reilly; who played the ball up the wing and the ball was in the Dee Ranger net again. 

The pressure from Carnaross was relentless and wing forwards Ciara Brady and Katie Whige recorded a point apiece. 

Carnaross were 2-2 up after 6 minutes, when Dee Rangers eventually worked the ball up the field, after a fine solo run from Aoibheann Sheehy, Sheehy played the ball inside to Sarah Duff who was fouled, Eimear McCluskey slotted the free over the bar to record Dee Rangers first score of the day. 

Centre half forward Sarah Kerins and Katie White scored a further two points for Carnaross stretching their lead to nine. 

The one way traffic continued with four unanswered points from Katie White, Aisling Reilly, Rebecca Farrelly and Erin Wyatt. 

Dee Rangers worked the ball up the field again, carried by Hannah Carolan, Carolan gave a one two, to Megan Malone and upon receiving the return pass was fouled. McCluskey converted the free just before half time. 

The half time score read Carnaross 2-08 Dee Rangers 0-02. 

The second half continued in the same way as the first, with Carnaross the hungrier side, their work rate was rewarded with a goal by Ciara Brady from the throw up. 

Dee Rangers recorded two points from play; one from Aoibheann Sheehy and another from Sarah Duff but it was too little, too late for the Noeth Meath side. 

Carnaross recorded a further two points and ran out worthy winners.
