LGFA Div 2 FL: Visitors St. Michaels claim the spoils

March 24, 2025

Letoya Lynch keeps her eye on the ball during the Division 2 FL clash with Ratoath

St. Michaels 1-10, Ratoath 1-04

A well taken Claire Reilly goal two minutes into the second half proved pivotal as visitors St. Michaels claimed the spoils in an entertaining division 2 clash in Ratoath under lights on Saturday evening last.

St. Michaels were the dominant team for large tracts of the contest but found it difficult to transfer that dominance onto the scoreboard and only led by two at the break 0-4 to 0-2, their scores coming from Chloe Callaghan (0-3) and Alicia Curtis (0-1).

The would-be winners hit the ground running in the second half with Seona Lynch tapping over in the first minute followed by Claire Reilly's goal a minute later. The home side found the back of the net at the start of the final quarter but minors from Sinéad McCormack, Clodagh Corcoran and Lynch ( 0-1 apiece ) had the points in the bag at that stage.
