Kilbride 6-17 Ratoath 3-13
Kilbride met their neighbours on Sunday afternoon for round two of the league in Ratoath in a highly anticipated local derby.
Kilbride got off to an early start, popping five points over the bar capped off by a Mark Dempsey goal that was fired into the back of the net. Kilbride played with a quick tempo and rapidly scored another goal provided by Luke Faherty.
Ratoath rallied and had a goal chance that was denied by Craig Manning just before halftime. At halftime the scoreboard read Kilbride 3-8 - Ratoath 1-5.
Kilbride kept up the pace early in the second half and began to pile up the scores with points coming from Faherty again, Josh Harford, Andrew McWeeney, James Gavin, Adam Malone and the impact sub - Zack McGovern who scored an impressive 2-1 after coming on shortly after halftime.
When the fulltime whistle blew Kilbride came out on top with a promising victory over rivals Ratoath.
