O’Mahony’s Ladies Junior team got their 2025 season underway with a match in Dunsany on Sunday morning with a comprehensive win against the home side. 

Milly Clarke Carolan registered the first score of the game with a well taken goal with three further goals following from Doireann Mellett, Muireann Nelson and Chloe Duffy.  Points followed by Clarke Carolan and a well taken free by Duffy.  The away side were leading by 4-2 to 0-2 at half time.

O’Mahony’s kept up the pressure on the home side in the second half with driving powerful runs from midfield by Neasa Mc Dermott and Julia Collins.  The full back and half back lines were steadfast in their defence for the full 60 minutes with goalkeeper Lisa Doyle keeping a clean sheet and corner back Aine Clarke making a spectacular goal line clearance.

More scores came from Grace Cahill and Sadhbh Byrne with Byrne marking her first game at adult level with 3 great points.
