Curraha/St.Vincents 3-13 Dunboyne 0-1
Curraha/St.Vincents hosted Dunboyne on Friday evening, as they looked to build on their strong start to the campaign which saw wins against Castletown and St.Colmcilles.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, when Ciara Morgan gathered a long ball from Larissa Carey and fired over from 20 yards. Katie Tuite added a point with an excellent long range effort after an excellent team move out of defence. The lead was extended further in the 10th minute when Morgan converted from the spot after she had been hauled down when through on goal. She added another goal just 2 minutes later when a long ball from Hannah Keogh put her through on goal again. This gave the host an 8 point lead after 12 minutes, thought Dunboyne had been causing some problems, with Carly Parsons doing well to deal with a couple of threatening balls delivered towards goal.
Katie Tuite registered her 2nd point of the evening with another long range effort, which completed the scoring for the half.

Dunboyne got the first score of the half to get them off the mark, the the hosts continued to dominate. The half back line of Katelyn McMahon, Hannah Keogh and Jessica Brennan were prominent throughout, and played a key part in pinning Dunboyne back. Curraha/St.Vincents got their first score of the half when Larissa Carey found Morgan who exchanged passes with Róisín O'Connor and tapped over. With the midfield dup of Shauna White and Larissa Carey putting serious pressure on the visitors kickout, they turned over the next kickout, with the ball being worked to Morgan to fire over again. They repeated the trick again, with Morgan again on hand to fire over. Katie Tuite turned over possession soon after and drove forward to register her 3rd score of the game. Substitute Lucy Andrews got a great point after an excellent layoff from O'Connor, who had now moved into full forward. A clever sideline kick from Morgan found O'Connor again who released Jessie Tuite to out the ball over the bar. With 5 minutes left to play, the impressive Morgan managed to secure her hat-trick. Larissa Carey done extremely well to turn the ball over in her own half before driving forward and releasing Morgan who finished brilliantly over the advancing keeper. The referee blew for a throw up when the kickout led to a scramble for possession. Hannah Keogh secured possession from this and found Katie Tuite who kicked another excellent score, capping a brilliant display from her. Larissa Carey then found O'Connor, who did well to slip her marker ad and point off her left foot. The final score of the game went to Lucy Andrews after a brilliant run through the middle saw her fire over.
The win sees Curraha/St.Vincents continue their impressive start with 3 wins from 3 leaving them in very strong position in the league table. Next up is Summerhill, who have also made a strong start to the campaign.
