St Brigids 0-12 Longwood 2-04

St Brigids made it two wins from two in the league on Sunday morning in Ballinacree.

Brigids got off the mark first with a point but Longwood followed up with a goal from their first attack. Windy conditions made scoring chances awkward for each teams attack but we held the advantage at the break with the scoreboard 0-07 to 1-03 in our favour.

The second period followed the same pattern as it took twelve minutes of the half to pass before Longwood scored the first of the half, a point.

We followed up with a point but Longwood nabbed their second goal to move two points clear with fortyseven minutes gone. That was as good as it got for Longwood though as we saw the game out with four unanswered points to claim the win.

A Tailteann Cup final awaits us next Saturday the 29th versus Syydan in Carnaross with a start time of 4pm.
