Boardsmill took a 4-5 to 0-9 lead to the dressing room.
Dixon increased the lead with two two pointers in the early stages of the second half and from then on the James McNally trained outfit just had to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Mary’s kept battling and were rewarded with three goals to reduced the lead to four. A brace from full forward Durkan in the closing stages kept the Donore men at arms length and the silverware was heading home with the ‘Mill’ at the final whistle.
