Rathmolyon opened up 2025 with a victory over Donaghmore/Ashbourne at home in the first round of the Billy Byrne Cup.
The Village got off to a flying start with points from Gary Doherty, Seán Howley and Jamie Doonan.
Trevor Healy finished to the net to give the hosts a lead of 1-12 to 0-05 at half time.
Rathmolyon kept the scoreboard ticking over in the second half with further points from Kevin Mulligan, Joey Christie and Cathal Regan. Stephen Mulligan added a second goal.
Special mention to Aron Doherty and Daithí Grehan who made their adult debuts.
Rathmolyon ended up winners on a scoreline of 2-22 to 0-12.
