With Áine Ward in fine scoring form Killyon claimed the Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol Girls Division 5 football title in fine style at Páirc Tailteann. The talented forward finished the game with an impressive tally of 3-6. PHOTOS
Ward along with Érin McCormack accounted for all their teams opening half scores and at the end of the 20 minutes the girls in green and red were 3-3 to 0-2 in front.
Una Uradnikova, Abbie Jackson and Kate Crosby gave Kilbeg some hope with goals inside the opening ten minutes of the second half but Killyon finished the game in style with points from Ward (2), Ella Williamson and Emily Quinn along with a 3rd goal from Ward to gave the Angela Sheerin and Michelle Brady managed outfit their first title since 2017.
After the game joint captains Éilis O’Donnell and Ella Williamson were presented with the Girls Division 5 cup.
