Ballinacree made the trek home to North Meath with the Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol Boys Division 4/5 Shield title after this entertain decider in the last game of a five card programme at Trim. PHOTOS
Mount Hanover had the better of the opening half and thanks to goals from Shane Woods and Lennon King they went in at the break 2-1 to 0-4 in front. Ballinacree got a great start to the second half with a goal from the outstanding Jamie Briody. Scoil Cholmcille replied with five unanswered points from King (4) and TJ McGuinness to take back control. But the Ballinacree boys found an extra gear in the last eight minutes. Calum Hamilton got the ball rolling with a well taken goal. Pearse Tuite pointed before Briody got his second goal and the team in sky blue were in front. Four points in a row from Briody (2), Evan Cooke and Ethan Kearney arrive before Cooke put the icing on the cake with goal number 4.
After the game Frank Reid presented the Boys Division 4/5 Shield to Ballinacree captain Jamie Briody.
