O’Growney N.S. Athboy 3-9 Gaelscol Thulach Na nOg 1-3

O’Growney N.S. were too strong for Gaelscol Thulach Na nOg in this entertaining Boys Division 1 Shield Football Final played at Loman’s Park Trim. The Athboy school last won a Meath Cumann na mBunscol title in 1988. PHOTOS

First half goals from Dillon Shaw, Caiden Shaw and Ronan Dullaghan set O’Growney NS on the road to victory. The Athboy school led 3-3 to 0-2 at the break. A point from Aidan Ó Meachair and a Harry Ó Gib goal gave Gaelscol Thulach Na nOg hope. The Athboy lads closed out the game with fine points from Dullaghan (2) and Caiden Shaw to seal a memorable victory.

After the game Frank Reidy presented the Boys Division 1 Shield to O’Growney captain Caiden Shaw.
