Moynalty returned to Sean Newman Park on Sunday morning, with Donore side Saint Mary's standing in their way for a place in the final of this year's Coolrite Junior B Final.

The opening 10 minutes saw both sides exchange scores, with St Mary's opening point cancelled out by points from Joe Gilsenan and Dylan Farrelly. St Mary's replied with a brace of points of their own to go 3 points to 2 up at the 10 minute mark. The game was a very physical affair, with the scoring opportunities restricted soon after. Ollie Sheridan levelled the scoring on 23 minutes, before St. Mary's took the lead shortly before half time. Half time score Moynalty 0-03 St Mary's 0-04.

Moynalty started brightly in the second half, with Dylan Farrelly seeing a 1 on 1 saved only a few minutes after the restart. Jude Gilsenan found the white flag a few minutes after with a brilliant point. Joe Gilsenan stepped up once again soon after to hit a free over the bar, which was won expertly from midfielder Niall O’Connor. As Moynalty began to turn the screw, Richie Gilsenan turned the ball over and began an attack which was eventually put over by Paddy Byrne to put Moynalty 2 ahead. James Cassidy put 3 between the sides shortly after, to put the biggest gap between the teams on the day. The hardworking St Mary's refused to lie down, and narrowed the gap to 2 on 27 minutes. Johnny Lynch scored a massive free kick along the 45 meter line shortly after to restore Moynaltys 3 point advantage, as Moynalty saw out the game with the Full Time Score Moynalty 0-08 St Mary's 0-06.

Defensively for Moynalty, Adam Reilly and Dylan Farrelly both had impressive displays to restrict St Mary's going forward. Moynalty are now set to return to the Junior B Final, which is fixed for next Saturday in Paric Tailteann against Carnaross, with throw in at 12pm.
