Kilmessan 0-12 Na Fianna 1-08

Kilmessan set up a Junior B Hurling Championship final date with Navan O’Mahonys in two weeks time after this one point win over Na Fianna at Rathmolyon.

Playing into the wind the winners started well with points from Kevin Horan and Peter Reynolds. A goal for Na Fianna gave them a 1-4 to 0-5 lead late in the opening half but Kilmessan responded with points from Aodhan Byrne and Scott Bagnall to leave it all square at the break 0-7 to 1-4.

Kevin Horan accounted for all of Kilmessan’s second half tally with five points from frees. Extra time looked to be on the cards with the sides tied at 0-11 to 1-8 but Horan with his 7th point of the match fired over to give Kilmessan the win.
