Rathmolyon 2-16 Boardsmill 3-13
Rathmolyon earned a dramatic draw with close neighbours Boardsmill to clinch top spot in group B of the Intermediate Championship.
Boardsmill got off to a flying start with a goal in the first minute however the village responded with points form Jarlath Ennis and Jamie Doonan.
Another goal from Boardsmill left The Village behind by two points. However, a goal from Vincent Ward brought the half time score to Rathmolyon 1-05 Boardsmill 2-06.
A third Boardsmill goal had Rathmolyon trailing by seven points at the end of the third quarter and finding it difficult to get past a strong Boardsmill defence.
The Village fought back with a second goal from Vincent Ward, points from Stephen Mulligan, Cathal Regan and Joey Christie left Rathmolyon down by a point in injury time.
The last free of the match taken by Joey Christie earned a draw and a place in the semi final which gives manager Andrew Dermody a month to plan for the semi final.
