Meath Hill and Nobber met in Kilmainhamwood in a game that would not be described as a classic, however there was no shortage of passion on show from the two sides.
Nobber had the better of the opening affairs as they went in to a two point lead with well taken scores. Meath Hill responded with scores from Jack McMahon and Conner Marry.
Meath Hill would take control of the game with well taken scores from distance against a stout and resolute Nobber defence .
Meath Hill would have felt justified in their first half performance with a commanding lead , a goal just before the interval from Nobber would put pay to any slaps on the back however.
The second half would continue in the same vain with Meath Hill attacking and Nobber defending well. Gary Breslin would win and take two frees to keep Meath Hill well ahead.
In to the breeze Meath Hill commanded the ball for the majority of the second half with Nobber playing counter-attacking football. Meath Hill with two from two and on to the next round against Blackhall Gaels in Duleek.
