Kilbride 3-13 Walterstown 0-14
Kilbride headed to neighbouring village of Ratoath to play Walterstown in their second intermediate game on Saturday with thrown in at 4pm.
Walterstown got the first point of the game before Kilbride equalisizing with a point from Timmy Farrell. After the first 15 minutes Walterstown led 6 points to 2. A few tweaks from management, Kilbride came back into the game with a goal from Adam Malone set up from Finn White and James Gavin. Kilbride then followed with a few more points including a third from Timmy Farrell. A second goal came shortly after from David O Leary who had a great game, set up by James Gavin. Kilbride finished out the first half leading 2-9 to 0-9.
The second half started with Walterstown getting the first couple of scores. Kilbride then scored a third goal , a great team effort from James Gavin with a superb flick from Adam Malone. From there on both teams found it harder to get scores with both playing very well defensively. Kilbride then got a few more points finishing out the stronger team, winning 3-13 to 14 points. A great display of team football with each player doing well on the day.
