Slane hit back with their first green flag courtesy of the impressive Ethan Harding. Shane Gibney added his second point for Moylagh and despite losing talented forward Podge McGowan to injury Slane went to the dressing rooms 2-3 to 1-2 in front. Half forward Harding adding 1-1 to his impressive opening half tally.

Within three minutes of the second half Moylagh narrowed the lead with points from Sean Reilly and Daragh Tuite but the North Meath outfit didn’t score again until the 21st minute. Slane made the push for home adding eight points including a brace from keeper Braydon Colfer and substitute Matthew Tully. Des Teeling’s outfit finished out the last five minutes in style with a Sean Murray goal and points from Danny Carolan, Conor Forde and Tadgh Martyn.
